The 2022 International Omaha Presented by Burlington Capital will feature top jumping and vaulting competitors when it returns May 5-8, 2022, to CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

Omaha hosted the highly acclaimed 2017 FEI World Cup™ Finals and will also be the venue for the upcoming FEI World Cup™ Finals Omaha 2023. The 2022 International Omaha Presented by Burlington Capital event will feature a Vaulting competition for the first time in Omaha, in addition to Speed Jumping and a Grand Prix Jumping Challenge.

Produced by the Omaha Equestrian Foundation, the 2022 International Omaha Presented by Burlington Capital is not your ordinary horse show. The event gives riders, visitors, and volunteers from nearly 40 states and multiple countries a chance to see and meet some of the world’s finest equestrian athletes, who will be competing for over $250,000 in prize money. Located in the heart of downtown Omaha, everything is under one roof – stabling, warm-up, the competition arena, educational and exhibit areas, demonstrations, and a shopping expo.

“Burlington Capital and Omaha Equestrian Foundation are honored to support the return of the International Omaha and thrilled to showcase this exciting sport in Omaha,” said Lisa Y. Roskens, CEO of Burlington Capital, and Chairman of the Omaha Equestrian Foundation. “In addition to featuring the top riders in the sport from around the world, this event builds awareness of Omaha and develops interest in equestrian sports in the Midwest.”

The four days of competition begins on May 5 and features Jumping & Vaulting classes at a range of heights and divisions, including children, junior/amateur, and open. The event’s evening performances opens with the $75,000 InIt2WinIt Speed Jumping Challenge on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m.

The Vaulting competition that follows at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, will be an important qualifying event for individuals and Pas De Deux (pairs) for the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final that will also be held in Omaha in 2023. 2023 will mark the first time an FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final will be held in front of a North American audience. Packed with emotion, creativity, and athleticism, vaulting is the FEI’s fastest-growing discipline. Intertwining the acrobatics of gymnastics with showmanship comparable to Cirque du Soleil, vaulters are known to express themselves through choreography, costume, and music.

The 2022 International Omaha culminates with the $100,000 International Omaha Grand Prix on Sunday, May 8 at 3:15 p.m.

“We are looking forward to the international equestrian community coming together again in Omaha and to the phenomenal performances that will take place,” said Julie Boilesen, Omaha Equestrian Foundation CEO. “Vaulting adds an exciting new element to next year’s event that families won’t want to miss.”

The Omaha Equestrian Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that strives to bring equestrian sport into the mainstream by changing the way it is presented and to develop Omaha into a hub of the sport horse industry, attracting and developing championship competitions as both educational and economic development opportunities for the community.
