Heartland Pride began as a task force in the fall of 2010. Today, Heartland Pride (United in Pride) is an IRS 501(c) non-profit, charitable organization. Our volunteers, board members, and committee chairs are comprised of proactive people from all walks of life. We understand the importance of including our allies in our journey and helping our communities keep the pride in Pride!
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment, inspiring equality, celebrating diversity, and acknowledging the contributions of our community. We honor those who came before us and give thanks to our allies. We welcome those who want to contribute their time, money, talents, and other treasures. With your help, everything is possible!
Each year Heartland Pride produces a series of community based pride events, including: the Pride parade that is held in Downtown Council Bluffs, an annual Pride Pageant, and Pride Festival in Omaha with vendor and organizational fair, and various fundraising events throughout the year.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Only clear, uncolored plastic bags will be permitted into the facility; or guests may carry one opaque clutch-sized purse or wallet, not exceeding 4.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches long. Exceptions will be made for bags with medical necessity after appropriate inspection. Bags that do not meet these guidelines must be returned to a vehicle or discarded. CHI Health Center staff members are not permitted to hold or store bags on the premises.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Any type of weapon, real or fake, or any item resembling a weapon is strictly banned from the MECA campus. These restrictions also apply to individuals lawfully permitted to carry concealed weapons. Weapons may not be held or checked by CHI Health Center staff. Other prohibited items include cameras with detachable lenses measuring 3.5 inches or larger (subject to change at tour discretion) and outside food or beverage. Signs and banners may not exceed 8.5 inches tall by 11 inches long without prior approval from the venue. For a full list of prohibited items, please visit our Guest Services FAQ page.
